Losing my senses to gain better

I was driving this morning listening to NPR (National Public Radio) they were doing a story about a resturaunt in Switzerland called "The Blind Cat" (the blind something?).

At the restraunt you eat in complete darkness and they serve you a however many part meal - the guy in the story was descibing eating a salad. Its true that your other senses will "come alive" if you take away one - but I thought that took some time. Maybe that works like when I am blindfolded and teased right before sex - everything feels so much more sensitive!

In the story the man describes eating a salad, and how it seemed to be more tasteful, and how not being able to see makes your other senses "come alive"

Since you can't see in the restraunt... I wonder if the waitresses are homely? I bet the floor gets covered in food knocked on the floor unknowingly...
